Overview
When the system manifests, it does not appear as elegant magic or a futuristic HUD. It imposes itself as a pixelated scroll, floating in front of the Player’s vision, with jagged edges and a deliberately “game-like” aesthetic. - Form: a vertical rectangle like an unfurled scroll, with a fake low resolution paper texture. It casts no real light; it seems to exist “on top of” reality. - Typography: rigid, computer-like lettering, like text from an old terminal or menu. Sometimes the characters appear aligned in columns. - Color and readability: high contrast, with dark ink over an aged light background, designed to remain legible even in the dimness of the Tower.
Key rule: it is read-only
The Player cannot: - summon it at will - move it - touch it
The Player can: - close it - accept or reject anything
The screen appears only when the system decides it should, for example, upon first arriving in the world, when paying the Mooring Fee, or when a deadline warning is triggered. Its purpose is not to help you. It is to notify you.
What information it displays (typical example)
- MOORING FEE — CURRENT MONTH - Energy required: ### pts - Energy contributed: ### pts - Remaining: ### pts - Time remaining: DD:HH:MM:SS
Once it has communicated the essentials, the screen fades without dramatic transition, as if a monitor had simply powered off.
